About the Principal

Solomon Nobi Amanor has obtained Masters of Philosophy (MPhil) in English, Masters of Arts (MA) in Adult Education, Bachelor of Arts (B.A hons.), English and Theatre Arts from the University of Ghana, Legon

He was a Deputy Chairman for the Intelligence Committee, Students’ Representative Council (SRC), University of Ghana in the 1999/2000 Academic year. He had his G.C.E. Advanced Level at the then Ofori Panin Secondary School (1996), Kukurantumi, where he distinguished himself as an excellent Assistant School Prefect.

Before then, he attended the then Begoro Secondary School, Begoro, for the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (1994). Indeed, it was at Begoro Secondary School that Mr. Amanor began his leadership role when he was voted a Senior School Prefect in the 1993/1994 Academic Year.

Currently, he is the Principal and Chief Training Officer, Government Secretarial Schools (GSS) and a Part-Time Facilitator in the Civil Service Training Centre (CSTC), the Office of Head of Civil Service, Recruitment, Training and Development Directorate, Accra. He is also a Tutor, tutoring UGRC 110 & UGRC 210, Academic Writing or Language (English) in the Centre for Distance Education Bachelor of Arts Degree Programme, Institute of Continuing and Distance Education, University of Ghana, Legon.

Mr. Amanor was a Teaching, Research and an Administrative Assistant (National Service) in the Department of Theatre Arts and the Institute of African Studies, respectively, University of Ghana, Legon.

Again he was a member of Experts and Consultants contracted by the Government of Ghana, under the new Educational Reform Policy to draft the National Technical, Secretarial and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) syllabi at Bunso (2005). He loves to read: newspapers, autobiographies, obituaries and philosophical sayings.
